After many years of interest in Whitetail Deer, I decided to start my own deer farm in 1998. The name Twin Oaks World Class Ohio Whitetails, or TOWCOW, was chosen to represent the high quality whitetail deer that I strive for. At first I used the deer as live reference for my award winning taxidermy business, Twin Oaks Taxidermy and Quality Antler Replication. I continue to run the taxidermy and antler replication business.
I have been a member of Whitetail Deer Farmers of Ohio since its inception. Some of the other associations that I am a member of include: North American Deer Farmers Association, Pennsylvania Deer Farmers Association, West Virginia Deer Farmers, Minnesota Deer Farmers and the Professional Taxidermists of Ohio. I am also a past member of the Board of Directors for the National Whitetail Deer Education Foundation.
The Ohio Oscar ancestry and our foundation were derived entirely from Direct Ohio. These unique lines have been producing outstanding offspring throughout the deer farming industry. We, at Twin Oaks World Class Ohio Whitetails deer farm, believe in the Ohio Oscar bloodline and are dedicated to carrying on its excellence through what we call "Ohio Oscar Full Circle" breeding. Our excellent genetics were created by using the Prince Line (Oscar's twin), our foundation doe, Moma Girl, and her first daughters; Shawna and Sheena. Adding Dean Borntrager's exceptional bucks and his Oscar line to our genetics, makes for a solid, dependable line. One result of our "Ohio Oscar Full Circle" breeding is our outstanding progeny T.O.W.C.O.W. CAPTAIN.
Presently, we are adding big 6x6 typical lines to our already 90% big framed, typical TOWCOW Full Circle. Outcrosses such as Amos, Allstar, L. Peach/AF Dreamer, MoThunder and BRF Patrick Jr. are being included, just to name a few.
